What Does Seth Do?

More Info and FAQ of Seth Green
Green has been working almost non-stop since the age of seven. Not surprisingly, the 28-year-old actor has quite a résumé after all that screen time. He's worked with everyone from Mike Meyers and Woody Allen to Jodie Foster and Joss Whedon. He's even had two action figures modeled after characters he's played.

Seth was born February 8, 1974, in Overbrook Park, Pennsylvania. He decided to pursue acting after appearing in a summer camp performance of Hello, Dolly at age six.

His parents found him a rep, and things began to happen. A day after Seth signed with his manager, he landed his first role working with John Denver and RCA Records. At the age of eight, he was cast in his first film, costarring with Jodie Foster and Rob Lowe in The Hotel New Hampshire.

At 12, he nabbed the lead in Woody Allen's Radio Days, which led to several other feature films, including My Stepmother Is an Alien and Can't Buy Me Love . In spite of being away so much from a traditional classroom, Seth still managed to graduate from his Philadelphia high school with honors.

After high school, he continued to win film roles, including Austin Powers and American Sweethearts. He also began working in television, in the short-lived family drama The Byrds of Paradise and, in 1997, in the role of Oz on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The role was supposed to last only three episodes, but Green became a regular. He left the show in 1999, leaving open the possibility of coming back in a recurring capacity. Without the grueling schedule of a television series, Seth was able to go back to making films. He was soon cast in Will Smith's blockbuster Enemy of the State.

Last year, Seth decided to try a new approach to show business and, along with a partner, created and exec produced 12 webisodes for Sony's Screenblast Entertainment. They utilized stop-motion photography and used custom toys as the stars.

Seth's latest project is the Fox sitcom Greg the Bunny, a new series from the creator of The Larry Sanders Show. It's a behind-the-scenes look at a Mister Rogers-type kiddie show. Eugene Levy plays Seth's estranged father and the show's producer.

Seth's also shooting Austin Powers 3 for release this summer. And in his spare time, this workaholic tries to catch every movie released.

But what really makes Seth tick? You asked, and now he's spills...

From mujertropical: Whether you're playing a werewolf or someone in a Rat Race, I absolutely love your work! Many of your contemporaries have failed to make the transition from child star to a prolific movie and television career. To what or whom do you attribute your success?
Truly the grace of God. I've been so fortunate in the success I've had and the pitfalls I've avoided. I think about the fact that I'm making a living doing my dream job, and I can't be grateful enough.

From fjga: Will we see you make a return as a guest on Buffy?
It has never been discussed. There were some funny rumors going around that Joss and I had spoken about the last Halloween show, and that we were negotiating. Then there was another that we couldn't work out the schedule or I wanted too much money. But in reality, we had never even spoken. I'm not opposed to it, it would just have to make sense.

From luisa_lee: As we all know, tabloids love to tell tales on their favorite stars. What's the most bizarre untrue thing you've heard about yourself through the media?
I hear funny rumors all the time, like that Buffy thing or parts I'm being considered for or people I'm supposed to have hung with. For the most part, it's all pretty harmless. About six years ago, I had done a commercial that became popular where I said, "Cha-ching." Then I heard a rumor that I had died--or, more accurately, that the "Cha-ching guy" had died. The fact that this commercial had become so entrenched in pop culture that multiple death rumors spread absolutely blew my mind.

From kiwikya: How do you feel about the love of Oz's life (Willow) being gay? Do you think it lessens the relationship Oz and Willow had? Did you know at the time that the show was going that way, and if so, did you play the role differently?
I thought it was a clever way to expose the audience to the possibility that a close friend could come out to you and it wouldn't have to change your relationship. I don't think her relationship with Tara diminishes the validity of her love for Oz.
